Do Sugarwish eCards expire?

For Gift Senders:

By default, Sugarwish eCards are designed to never expire, ensuring recipients can redeem their gifts at their convenience.  However, if you're a gift sender logged into a Corporate Account*, you have the option to adjust your expiration date settings while creating an eCard order.

Setting an Expiration Date for Your Sugarwish Gifts

During the "Add Recipients" step of the eCard creation process, click Expiration Date Settings to choose a preferred setting for your Sugarwish account.

Your selected setting will apply to all future eCards or Wishlinks sent through your account unless you change it when sending a new gift.

You can choose from four expiration settings:

A. Set gifts to expire after a specific timeframe (Recommended)

Use the dropdown menu to select an expiration period of 7, 30, 45, 60, 90, 120, 180, 270, or 360 days from the date the gift is sent.

B. Choose a specific expiration date for each order

With this option, a "Select Date" button will appear every time you send a Sugarwish eCard, allowing you to set a unique expiration date for each gift.

C. Donate unredeemed gifts to Make-A-Wish after 90 days

D. No expiration

You can adjust expiration settings at any time, and we'll send a reminder to recipients before their gift expires. If a gift isn't redeemed before the expiration date, it will be canceled, and you'll receive account credit minus a 10% processing fee. Gifts can be set to expire up to one year after purchase, but setting an expiration date is completely optional.

If you're using a shared account, any changes to the expiration date settings will apply to all users on the account.

For Gift Recipients:

If you've received a Sugarwish eCard, your gift sender may have set a redemption expiration date. If your gift is nearing expiration, you'll receive an email notification three days before the expiration date, as well as on the expiration date itself. If unredeemed, your eCard will expire at midnight (11:59pm MST) on the specified date.
